While caller ID is typically helpful for identifying who’s calling, there are situations where you might prefer to keep your number private. Fortunately, both Android and iPhone users have a few methods for achieving this.
It’s important to remember that your carrier might have the final say on blocking your number. In such cases, you’ll need to contact them directly. However, the general steps to hide your number will differ slightly depending on whether you have an Android or iPhone.
How to hide your number on iOS
To block your phone number on your iPhone, you’ll want to follow these steps.
First, navigate to Settings.

Select Phone and then Show My Caller ID.

This will bring up a new list of options. Find and disable the toggle for “Show My Caller ID.”
